Evaluation -Movie Poster
Fitness for purpose – I think my product does its job because it has all of the things on it that most movie posters have. However, not many BMX films are shown in cinema, so the cast and directors are not included on the cover like they will be in the film. I included a little slogan that might give the audience an idea to how extreme some of the footage is in the film. I also included a website at the top of the poster for the audience to check out for things like, merchandise, other DVD episodes, and just general information about the riders…etc. I added the wiped paint effect just to make the poster look more aesthetically pleasing overall.
Format – The size of this poster is 27x40cm, I chose this size because I wanted to keep things average/simple. Most things related to BMXing are fairly average, and all sizes seem to be the same. The font I used what Arial black with no special effects to the text as I wanted to keep it simple, and looking sharp. The slogan I used was also Arial black, but the colour of each of the lines is light green, blue, and yellow because this stands out against the faded black paint splattered background.
Typeface The font I used for all of the text on my poster was Arial black. I aligned the title at the bottom right hand side of the poster ‘ CLICKED BMX’ with ‘DVD’ vertically beside the clicked BMX font, I did this because it would have been boring if id just aligned it with the other text. The slogan I used, I put on a slant just to add effect. I also did it because I got some influential ideas from my client feedback.
